Design and Development of A Web-Based Monitoring System for Toddler Health Clinics in Tanjung Raman Village Manna District

Data recording of Posyandu (Integrated Health Post) activities for under-five children in Tanjung Raman Village, Manna Sub-district, is still largely carried out manually using report books, which leads to several problems such as recording errors, the risk of data loss, difficulty in tracing children's health history, and slow evaluation and reporting of Posyandu activities. This research aims to design and develop a web-based monitoring system for under-five children's Posyandu that is able to record and monitor children's data, weighing results, immunization history, and vitamin A administration accurately, quickly, and in a user-friendly manner for Posyandu cadres and village officials. The system was developed using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method, which consists of requirements planning, system design, construction and feedback collection, and implementation, with active involvement of Posyandu cadres at every development stage. The system was built using the PHP programming language with a MySQL database, and presents growth charts of children to facilitate real-time monitoring of nutritional status. System functionality testing was conducted using the Black Box Testing method to ensure that all modules—such as child data management, weighing records, immunization, vitamin A, and activity reporting—function properly. The results show that this system is able to speed up the Posyandu data recording process, improve the accuracy of child growth monitoring, and present activity reports more quickly, in an integrated manner, and more accessible for Posyandu cadres and Tanjung Raman village officials.
