Abstract

Sejumlah studi menunjukkan bahwa menulis teks argumentatif merupakan salah satu genre teks yang penting dipelajari oleh mahasiswa. Hal tersebut tidak terlepas dari fakta bahwa genre teks ini adalah bentuk paling umum yang ditugaskan kepada mahasiswa. Meski demikian hingga saat ini masih banyak pihak yang memandang bahwa kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menulis teks argumentatif kurang baik. Pengembangan dilakukan dengan menggunakan model Desain Based Research (DBR) untuk memformulasikan sintaks pembelajaran yang efektif. Melalui proses tersebut dihasilkan sintaks pembelajaran yang mensinergikan penilaian rekan sejawat, Berpikir yang benar, berkata yang benar, dan berbuat yang benar. Proses penulisan esay argumentatif yang tidak hanya dapat meningkatkan kualitas esay yang dihasilkan, namun juga membentuk karakter generasi muda Indonesia yang unggul.
