1. Responsibility for Published Content

Authors are responsible for the accuracy, completeness, originality, interpretation, and presentation of the data, arguments, references, images, tables, supplementary materials, declarations, and conclusions contained in their articles. Authors are also responsible for obtaining required ethical approval, informed consent, copyright permission, data authorization, and disclosure of funding and competing interests.

Statements, opinions, interpretations, recommendations, and conclusions expressed in a published work belong to the author or authors. They do not necessarily represent the views or official policies of Social Sciences Journal, its editors, peer reviewers, publisher, Universitas Dehasen Bengkulu, sponsors, partners, or affiliated institutions.

2. Responsibilities of the Journal and Publisher

Peer review and editorial assessment are quality-control processes, but they cannot guarantee that every error, omission, undisclosed conflict, ethical problem, or instance of misconduct will be detected before publication. Publication therefore does not constitute a warranty that every statement is complete, error-free, or applicable to every context.

When a credible error or integrity concern is identified, the journal will assess the matter under its Publication Ethics and Research Integrity Policy, Appeals and Complaints Policy, and Article Retraction, Correction, and Removal Policy.

3. No Professional Advice

Content published by the journal is intended for scholarly, educational, and research purposes. It is not a substitute for individualized legal, medical, psychological, financial, policy, technical, or other professional advice. Readers should not make a high-stakes decision solely on the basis of a journal article without independently evaluating the evidence and, where appropriate, consulting a qualified professional.

Descriptions of laws, regulations, policies, statistics, software, services, standards, or institutional practices may become outdated after publication. Readers should verify time-sensitive information through current authoritative sources.

4. Accuracy, Errors, and Updates

The journal makes reasonable efforts to maintain accurate bibliographic information and to publish scholarly work that has undergone the stated editorial process. However, information may contain inadvertent errors, and research findings may later be revised, challenged, corrected, or retracted as knowledge develops.

The online version identified by the journal as the version of record, together with any linked correction, expression of concern, retraction, or removal notice, should be consulted before relying on an article. Downloaded or archived copies may not display later amendments.

5. External Links and Third-Party Services

The journal website may link to indexing services, identifiers, repositories, scholarly profiles, data platforms, social media, payment services, reference-management tools, similarity-checking services, or other third-party websites. A link is provided for information or convenience and does not constitute endorsement, certification, partnership, or a warranty regarding the accuracy, availability, security, privacy practices, legality, or continued operation of the external service.

Third-party websites operate under their own terms, policies, and technical controls. The journal is not able to control changes made by an external provider. Users should review the relevant terms and privacy notices before submitting personal information, making a payment, downloading software, or relying on external content.

6. Indexing, Accreditation, Identifiers, and Metrics

• Inclusion in a directory, repository, search engine, identifier registry, or citation platform does not necessarily mean that the service endorses the journal or every published article.
• Metrics and citation counts are produced by third parties using different databases and methods and may be delayed, corrected, or changed.
• An accreditation badge should be interpreted only according to the relevant official decree, scope, validity period, and government record.
• Reference to Scopus criteria, international publishing practice, or preparation for evaluation does not constitute a claim that the journal is indexed in Scopus. Current coverage must be verified through the official Scopus Sources list.

7. Intellectual Property and Third-Party Rights

Copyright ownership and licensing are governed by the journal's Copyright and Licensing Policy and the licence displayed on each article. Authors are responsible for ensuring that third-party text, images, data, instruments, maps, tables, trademarks, and other materials are used lawfully and with appropriate permission or licence.

The presence of a trade name, product, service, organization, or trademark in an article does not imply endorsement. If a rights holder identifies a credible infringement, they should contact the journal with the article citation, description of the protected material, evidence of ownership or authority, and the requested remedy.

8. Advertising, Sponsorship, and Commercial Independence

Any advertising, sponsorship, subsidy, article processing charge, reprint income, partnership, or external service arrangement is separate from editorial decision-making. Commercial relationships do not constitute endorsement of a product, service, person, or organization and must not influence manuscript selection, peer review, acceptance, correction, or retraction.

9. Website Availability and Technical Limitations

The journal seeks to maintain reliable access, accurate metadata, secure operation, and long-term preservation. Nevertheless, temporary interruptions may occur because of maintenance, hosting failure, network disruption, cyber incidents, software errors, external-service failure, force majeure, or circumstances outside the journal's reasonable control.

The journal will take reasonable steps to restore service and protect the scholarly record. It cannot promise uninterrupted access to every feature, external link, or third-party integration at all times.

10. Responsible Reliance and Limitation

Users remain responsible for how they interpret and apply published information. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the journal and publisher are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising solely from uncritical reliance on an author's statements, use of an external website, or use of information outside its stated scholarly context.

Nothing in this disclaimer excludes responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded, limits the journal's obligation to correct the scholarly record, or prevents a person from using the journal's Appeals and Complaints procedure.

11. Reporting an Error or Concern

Readers, authors, rights holders, and other stakeholders are encouraged to report material errors, broken or misleading links, inaccurate metadata, privacy concerns, rights infringements, undisclosed conflicts, or publication-integrity concerns. Reports should identify the relevant article or webpage, describe the issue precisely, and include supporting evidence where available.
