Journal of Accounting and Management (JAM) | e-ISSN 3048-345X
These guidelines define how a manuscript must be prepared and submitted to JAM. Editorial screening and review decisions are governed separately by the Editorial and Peer Review Policy; research-integrity cases are handled under the relevant journal policies. Following these instructions does not guarantee acceptance.
A submission must be an original scholarly work, must not have been published previously, and must not be under consideration by another publication. All authors must approve the submitted version, author order, and submission to JAM. Preprints, theses, conference papers, and translated or substantially extended works must be declared to the editor so that originality, copyright, and overlap can be assessed.
The manuscript must fit JAM's published Focus and Scope in accounting or management. Authors should select the most accurate article type:
| File | Required content |
|---|---|
| Title Page | Title in Indonesian and English; every author's full name, affiliation, country, institutional email, and ORCID where available; corresponding author; contribution statement; acknowledgments; funding; and conflicts of interest. |
| Anonymized Manuscript | Editable DOCX prepared with the official template. Remove names, affiliations, acknowledgments, file properties, self-identifying wording, and other clues to author identity. Replace identifying information temporarily with “blinded for review.” |
| Supplementary Files | Data, instruments, appendices, permissions, reporting checklists, or other supporting files where relevant. Remove identifying information from files intended for reviewers. |
| Page | A4, portrait, single column, 2.54 cm margins |
|---|---|
| Body text | Times New Roman 11 pt, single spacing, justified; 6 pt after paragraphs |
| Title and headings | Use the sizes and hierarchy defined in the template; do not create manual numbering or decorative formatting |
| Length | Normally 8–14 pages, including tables, figures, references, notes, and appendices |
| Language | Indonesian or English, written clearly and consistently; authors are responsible for language quality |
| File type | Microsoft Word DOCX as the primary manuscript; PDF may be uploaded only as a supplementary reference copy if requested |
Use APA Style, 7th edition consistently. Every in-text citation must appear in the reference list and every listed reference must be cited. Include a DOI in the format https://doi.org/... when available; otherwise provide a stable URL only when appropriate. Authors should prioritize relevant peer-reviewed and primary sources, include necessary seminal works, avoid unreliable or predatory sources, and check every bibliographic element before submission.
Reference-management software such as Zotero, Mendeley, or EndNote is recommended. See the APA guidance on DOIs and URLs.
Use a clear heading for each applicable statement. If none applies, state this explicitly rather than omitting the section.
Detailed obligations are governed by JAM's separate Authorship, Conflict of Interest, Research Data, Ethical Oversight, and Generative AI policies.
