Open Access Policy

Journal of Accounting and Management (JAM) provides immediate and permanent open access to published content because equitable access to scholarly knowledge supports research, education, professional practice, and public benefit. Open access does not remove authorship, attribution, integrity, privacy, or licensing obligations.

ReusableReuse follows CC BY-SA 4.0 and applicable third-party rights.

PreservedAccess continuity is supported by the journal’s preservation plan.

1. Immediate Open Access

All JAM research and scholarly content is available online immediately upon publication without subscription, embargo, paywall, or mandatory reader registration. Readers may access, download, read, and link to published articles subject to the stated license and other applicable rights.

2. Open-Access License

JAM publishes articles under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-SA 4.0). The license permits sharing and adaptation, including commercial use, provided proper attribution is given, changes are indicated, and adaptations are distributed under the same license.

Copyright and license details
Authorship copyright, the journal’s first-publication right, attribution form, third-party content, repository deposit, and reuse conditions are governed only by the dedicated Copyright and Licensing Policy.

3. Author Rights and Repository Deposit

Authors retain copyright in their article, subject to the publication agreement and CC BY-SA 4.0 license.
Authors may deposit submitted, accepted, and published versions in institutional, subject, funder, or personal repositories, with clear version identification and a link to the Version of Record and DOI.
Repository deposits must preserve author attribution, copyright and license notices, and any indication of changes.
Third-party material included under permission or another license is not automatically relicensed under CC BY-SA 4.0.

4. Access, Fees, and Editorial Independence

Open access concerns reader access and reuse; it does not determine whether an APC applies. Any author fee, payment timing, waiver, or refund is disclosed separately on the APC pages. Payment does not purchase acceptance, influence peer review, or change the access rights of the article.

5. Machine Reading and Responsible Reuse

Text and data mining of lawfully accessible published content is permitted where consistent with the license, attribution, platform security, and applicable law.
Automated access must not disrupt the website, evade security controls, collect restricted personal data, or misrepresent JAM’s content.
Users must not imply endorsement by JAM, Universitas Dehasen Bengkulu, editors, or authors.
Corrections, Expressions of Concern, and retractions must remain attached to reused or redistributed content where relevant to interpretation.

6. Long-Term Access

JAM’s long-term access plan, backups, DOI stewardship, succession arrangements, and external preservation status are explained in the Digital Preservation and Archiving Policy.
