Authorship and Contributorship

Jurnal Pusat Manajemen (PUSMAN) · e-ISSN 3048-3840

Jurnal Pusat Manajemen (PUSMAN) requires an accurate, transparent account of who contributed to a manuscript. Authorship is a responsibility, not merely recognition.

Authorship criteria

Each author must have made a substantial contribution to the conception or design of the work, or to data acquisition, analysis, or interpretation; participated in drafting or critically revising the manuscript; approved the version submitted and published; and agreed to be accountable for the integrity of their contribution and to cooperate in resolving questions about the work.

Contributor roles

Authors should describe contributions using the CRediT Contributor Roles Taxonomy where appropriate. Contributions that do not qualify for authorship—such as administrative support, language editing, funding acquisition alone, or general supervision—should be acknowledged with the contributor’s permission.

Corresponding author

  • Confirms that all authors meet the criteria and that no qualified contributor has been omitted.
  • Ensures every author has reviewed and approved the manuscript, disclosures, author order, and submission.
  • Maintains communication with the journal and shares decisions, revisions, proofs, and post-publication notices with all authors.
  • Keeps supporting authorship and approval records when requested.

Changes in authorship

Requests to add, remove, or reorder authors must explain the reason and include written agreement from all listed and affected contributors. Before acceptance, the editor evaluates the request. After acceptance or publication, changes are exceptional and may require a published correction. Disputes that cannot be resolved by the authors may be referred to their institutions; the journal does not adjudicate underlying employment or contribution disputes.

Unacceptable practices

Gift, guest, honorary, ghost, purchased, or coerced authorship is prohibited. AI tools cannot be authors. Undisclosed writing or analysis assistance may constitute misconduct. Related financial and non-financial interests must be reported under Conflict of Interest.
