Generative AI Policy

Jurnal Pusat Manajemen (PUSMAN) · e-ISSN 3048-3840

Jurnal Pusat Manajemen (PUSMAN) permits responsible, transparent, and human-supervised use of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI). AI tools cannot be listed as authors because they cannot approve a manuscript, hold rights, disclose conflicts, or accept responsibility for the work.

Authors

  • Human authors remain fully accountable for the accuracy, originality, citations, permissions, data, analysis, and conclusions of all submitted content.
  • Routine spelling, grammar, and formatting assistance that does not change intellectual content need not be disclosed.
  • Substantive AI use—including generating or revising passages, analysis, code, tables, images, or research interpretations—must be disclosed in the Methods or Acknowledgments, naming the tool, provider, version or access date, purpose, and how outputs were checked.
  • Authors must verify AI outputs and must not cite fabricated references or present generated claims, images, or data as observed evidence.
  • Personal, confidential, proprietary, or participant data must not be entered into a GenAI system without lawful authority, appropriate safeguards, and ethics approval where required.

Reviewers and editors

Unpublished manuscripts, review reports, and editorial correspondence are confidential. Reviewers and editors must not upload them to public or consumer GenAI tools. AI may not replace expert review or editorial judgment. Any publisher-approved tool must have appropriate confidentiality, data-security, and human-oversight safeguards.

Undisclosed or inappropriate use

Suspected misuse is assessed on evidence and impact, not solely on an automated AI-detection score. The journal may request source material, prompts, outputs, data, or clarification. Outcomes may include revision, rejection, correction, expression of concern, or retraction under the Publication Ethics and post-publication policies.

Related disclosures

AI use does not replace disclosures required by Authorship and Contributorship, Conflict of Interest, Research Data and Data Availability, or Copyright and Licensing.
