Research Data and Data Availability

Jurnal Pusat Manajemen (PUSMAN) · e-ISSN 3048-3840

Jurnal Pusat Manajemen (PUSMAN) supports transparent and responsible access to the evidence underlying published conclusions while protecting participants, confidential organizations, intellectual property, and legal or ethical restrictions.

Data availability statement

Every empirical manuscript must include a Data Availability Statement describing where the data and supporting materials can be found, the conditions for access, or a specific reason they cannot be shared. “Available from the corresponding author on reasonable request” should be used only when open deposit is not appropriate and the access conditions are explained.

Sharing and citation

  • When ethically and legally possible, deposit de-identified data, code, questionnaires, protocols, and analysis materials in a trusted repository before or at publication.
  • Cite deposited datasets and software as research outputs, including creator, title, repository, year, version, and persistent identifier.
  • Apply a clear license and provide documentation sufficient to understand variables, coding, exclusions, and analytic decisions.
  • Do not share confidential, personal, commercially restricted, or culturally sensitive data without lawful authority and appropriate safeguards.

Editorial access and retention

Editors may request relevant data and documentation during review or an integrity inquiry. Unjustified refusal may affect the editorial decision. Authors should retain essential records for the period required by their institution, funder, ethics approval, or law and, where no longer period is specified, normally for at least five years after publication.

Exceptions

Restrictions must be specific—for example participant consent, privacy law, contractual confidentiality, security, or legitimate commercial sensitivity. Authors should share metadata, synthetic data, a controlled-access route, or other materials when a lawful alternative is possible. Editors may reject a paper when necessary evidence cannot be examined.

Participant consent and approval requirements are governed by Ethical Oversight; personal information on the journal platform is governed by the Privacy Statement.
