Manuscript Withdrawal

Jurnal Pusat Manajemen (PUSMAN) · e-ISSN 3048-3840

Withdrawal applies only before publication. After an article is published, requests are assessed under the correction, expression-of-concern, or retraction policies. Jurnal Pusat Manajemen (PUSMAN) does not impose automatic punitive withdrawal fees or blacklist an author’s institution.

Author request

The corresponding author must submit a reasoned written request through OJS or the official contact channel, identifying the manuscript and stage of processing. The request must confirm that all authors agree. Valid reasons may include a serious error, authorship dispute, ethical or legal concern, accidental duplicate submission, or a circumstance that makes publication inappropriate.

Editorial assessment by stage

Before review assignment The editor normally records and approves a complete, unanimous request promptly.
During peer review or revision The editor considers the reason, confirms author agreement, closes active reviews, and records the outcome. Authors must not submit elsewhere until withdrawal is confirmed in writing.
After acceptance or during production Withdrawal is exceptional because a publication commitment and production work exist. The Editor-in-Chief evaluates the evidence with the publisher and records the decision.
After publication The article cannot be withdrawn as an unpublished manuscript; see Corrections, Expressions of Concern, or Retractions.

Journal-initiated withdrawal before publication

The journal may terminate processing when there is duplicate submission, authorship disagreement, lack of required approval or consent, fabricated information, unresolved legal risk, non-response after reasonable reminders, or another serious breach. The authors receive a reasoned notification and may use the appeals procedure.

Record and fees

OJS records the request, author agreement, stage, reason, and decision. No withdrawal charge is imposed unless a separately published and prospectively applicable fee has been disclosed before submission; the current APC policy contains no withdrawal penalty.
