Publication Ethics

Jurnal Pusat Manajemen (PUSMAN) · e-ISSN 3048-3840

Jurnal Pusat Manajemen (PUSMAN) is committed to responsible scholarly publishing and follows the core principles of the COPE Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing. This policy states the overarching duties of authors, reviewers, editors, and the publisher; detailed procedures are located on the linked specialist pages.

Duties of authors

  • Report methods, evidence, analysis, limitations, and conclusions accurately and honestly.
  • Submit original work that is not simultaneously under consideration elsewhere.
  • Credit sources correctly and disclose reused or translated material.
  • Meet the Authorship and Contributorship criteria and obtain approval from every listed author.
  • Disclose funding, conflicts of interest, ethics approval, consent, data availability, and substantive generative-AI use.
  • Cooperate with editorial inquiries and promptly report material errors discovered before or after publication.

Duties of reviewers

  • Accept assignments only when competent, available, and free from disqualifying conflicts.
  • Keep manuscripts confidential and provide objective, respectful, evidence-based comments.
  • Identify important uncited work and alert the editor to suspected overlap or misconduct.
  • Do not appropriate unpublished ideas, contact authors directly, or use public AI systems with confidential manuscripts.

Duties of editors

  • Make decisions on scholarly merit, relevance, integrity, and fair process.
  • Protect confidentiality, manage conflicts, document decisions, and ensure an independent review process.
  • Investigate credible concerns consistently, give affected parties a reasonable opportunity to respond, and correct the record when necessary.
  • Ensure that commercial, institutional, personal, or fee-related interests do not influence editorial decisions.

Duties of the publisher

Universitas Dehasen Bengkulu supports editorial independence, secure records, transparent ownership, digital preservation, and appropriate post-publication action. The publisher does not interfere with individual editorial decisions for commercial or reputational reasons.

Allegations and remedies

Suspected misconduct may lead to requests for evidence, suspension of review, rejection, notification of institutions or funders when justified, correction, expression of concern, or retraction. Actions are proportionate to verified evidence and follow fair process. Details are provided in Plagiarism and Data Fabrication, Corrections and Errata, Expressions of Concern, and Retractions.
