Editorial and Publishing Workflow

Jurnal Pusat Manajemen (PUSMAN) · e-ISSN 3048-3840

Jurnal Pusat Manajemen (PUSMAN) manages submissions, peer review, editing, production, and publication through Open Journal Systems (OJS). The workflow below explains process ownership without repeating the substantive review criteria set out in the Editorial and Peer Review Policy.

Workflow stages

  1. Online submission. The corresponding author submits the manuscript and required metadata through OJS Submission. Email is not a substitute for an OJS submission.
  2. Administrative check. The editorial office checks file format, template use, anonymization, metadata, declarations, and completeness.
  3. Editorial screening. The Editor-in-Chief or assigned editor assesses scope, originality, ethics, readability, and minimum scholarly quality. A desk rejection may be issued at this stage.
  4. Editor assignment. A handling editor with relevant expertise is assigned and must disclose or avoid conflicts of interest.
  5. Reviewer selection. At least two independent reviewers are invited for double-anonymized review. Replacement reviewers are invited when necessary.
  6. Peer review. Reviewers assess the manuscript and submit reasoned comments and a confidential recommendation through OJS.
  7. Editorial decision. The editor considers all reports and issues a decision: decline, major revision, minor revision, or accept.
  8. Author revision. Authors upload a clean revised manuscript, a marked version when requested, and a point-by-point response. Revisions may be returned to reviewers.
  9. Final decision. The editor verifies the scholarly and ethical adequacy of the final version. Payment status does not influence the decision.
  10. Copyediting and layout. Accepted text is checked for consistency, references, language, tables, figures, and journal style, then converted to publication format.
  11. Author proof. The corresponding author checks the proof for production errors. Substantive changes require editorial approval.
  12. Publication and dissemination. The article is published in the scheduled issue with persistent metadata and DOI registration where applicable, and is included in preservation and indexing workflows.

Records and accountability

OJS records assignments, review reports, decisions, revisions, copyediting, proof approval, and publication activity. Access is role-based. Significant departures from the normal workflow are documented by the responsible editor.

Corrections after publication

Once published, the version of record is not silently replaced. Errors or integrity concerns are handled under Corrections and Errata, Expressions of Concern, or Retractions, as appropriate.
